A coordinated starting point

The plan starts at $400 per month.

The starter scope is designed for a qualifying sole proprietor or single-member LLC with one QuickBooks Online business, reasonable transaction volume, monthly bookkeeping and reports, quarterly estimated-tax guidance, two formal planning reviews, and one defined annual Form 1040 return with Schedule C.

The ongoing service is month-to-month. A one-time $500 Onboarding & Diagnostic Review applies before monthly service begins. It covers a structured review of your QuickBooks position, entity and filing requirements, records condition, workflow, and service scope. Cleanup, catch-up work, conversions, corrective work, and the QuickBooks subscription are priced separately. Multiple entities, S corporation or partnership returns, payroll, sales tax, 1099s, multi-state activity, rentals, additional returns, and higher complexity require a tailored quote.

Is this a bookkeeping-only service?

No. The Business Tax and Books Plan is an ongoing, coordinated engagement that combines monthly bookkeeping, proactive tax planning, estimated-tax guidance, and annual tax preparation. Standalone bookkeeping is not offered through this plan.

What does the $400 monthly starting price cover?

The starter scope is designed for a qualifying sole proprietor or single-member LLC with one business in QuickBooks Online, reasonable transaction volume, monthly bookkeeping and reporting, quarterly estimated-tax guidance, two formal planning reviews, year-end readiness, and one defined annual Form 1040 return with Schedule C.

What is the one-time Onboarding & Diagnostic Review?

Before monthly service begins, a one-time $500 Onboarding & Diagnostic Review is used to examine your current QuickBooks position, entity and filing requirements, records condition, workflow, and service scope. Any cleanup, catch-up, conversion, or corrective work identified during the review is quoted separately.

What may increase the monthly fee?

Multiple entities, S corporation or partnership returns, higher transaction volume, payroll, sales tax, 1099 preparation, multi-state activity, rental bookkeeping, additional returns, or more complex reporting needs require a tailored quote.

Can you clean up books that are already behind?

Yes, when the engagement is otherwise a fit. Catch-up and cleanup work is assessed and priced separately before the ongoing plan begins.

Is QuickBooks included?

The QuickBooks Online subscription is not included in the starting fee. The plan is designed around QuickBooks Online, and any conversion or setup work is scoped separately when needed.

Is the ongoing service month-to-month?

Yes. The engagement agreement will explain billing, notice, and cancellation terms so expectations are clear before service begins.

Do you work with businesses outside Virginia?

Yes. The Elis Tax provides this virtual service to eligible owner-led businesses nationwide.

How do I send records securely?

Clients receive secure TaxDome portal access. Do not send bank statements, account credentials, tax documents, or other sensitive financial information through ordinary email or text.
